Calgary Fire Department responds to Glenmore Reservoir for capsized canoeists

At approximately 3:30 this afternoon, Calgary Fire Crews were called to the Glenmore Reservoir for reports of two canoeists who found themselves in the water after their canoe capsized south of Glenmore Landing. The two individuals made their way to shore before the arrival of the Calgary Fire Department Aquatics Team. Both individuals were wearing lifejackets which were very beneficial to their self rescue. The canoeists were transferred to EMS for assessment and firefighters assisted with returning their canoe to the launch point.
