Calgary Fire Department Responds to Fire in South East Warehouse

At approximately 15:25 this afternoon, the Calgary Fire Department responded to a warehouse fire in the 4800 block of 35 St SE. On approach, the first arriving crews called for a second alarm due to observed smoke conditions.  Upon arrival, firefighters initiated an aggressive interior attack to contain the fire to a small area inside the structure.  Initial reports stated there were no occupants inside the building at the time of incident, which was confirmed by interior primary search crews.  The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
