Calgary Fire Department responds to early morning fire in Evergreen

Early this morning the Calgary Fire Department was called to the 100  block of Everwoods Link S.W.. for reports of a building fire. Smoke was visible prior to the arrival of first responding crews. Once on scene, crews found three occupants of the home visibly shaken and reporting one occupant still unaccounted for. Crews immediately launched an aggressive search for the occupant and simultaneous fire attack. The female resident was quickly found and brought to on scene Alberta Health Services staff who have subsequently transported her  to a area hospital. The three remaining occupants a male and two children have also been transported  to a health care facility. The fire  was quickly brought under control and overhaul operations are currently under way. One firefighter suffered minor injuries and remains on scene and fire investigators have initiated preliminary investigations.Crews will remain on scene well  into the morning ensuring that no flare ups occur.
