Calgary Fire Department responds to collision on Deerfoot Trail

 

 

 

At approximately 9:30 this morning the Calgary Fire Department responded to Deerfoot Trail and Country Hills BLVD for a reported motor vehicle collision.  Upon arrival, fire crews found a single vehicle accident in which the driver of a minivan had lost control and struck a power pole.  Witnesses stated that the vehicle was traveling Southbound on Deerfoot Trail when it left the road and hit the pole. Three people were in the van at the time of the collision and all were injured in the crash, one was ejected from the vehicle and two were extricated by firefighters.  All three were transported to the hospital by EMS.  CPS is currently on scene investigating.  Southbound Deerfoot Trail at Country Hills BLVD is currently closed.
