Calgary Fire Department Responds to Bridlewood House Fire

At approximately 11:00 a.m. today, Calgary fire crews responded to the 100 Block of Bridlewood Avenue to reports of a basement fire in a home.

Firefighters quickly entered the home and contained the fire to the basement. Neighbouring homes were not affected. The two occupants in the home and one dog were not injured. However, another dog did not survive. Damage was contained to the home.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
