Calgary Fire Department responds to a garage fire

Just before 11:00 PM the Calgary Fire Department (CFD) responded to reports of a structure fire in the 6800 block of Temple Drive NE. On arrival fire crews discovered a double detached garage fully involved in flames. Crews quickly attacked the fire and worked at protecting the exposed home while ensuring no residents were in the garage. 

The garage was completely damaged by the fire, with minor damage to the exposed side of the home. There were two vehicles and a boat damaged in the fire with one of the vehicles in the garage at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported at the time of this release but Alberta Health Services(AHS) were on scene standing by. Calgary Police Services (CPS) were also on scene to assist with public safety and traffic control.

The Calgary Fire Department Fire Investigator is on scene working to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
