CALGARY FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS FOR A TWO ALARM FIRE IN PANORAMA HILLS

The Calgary Fire Department responded at 3 am this morning to reports of a house fire on Panamount Common NW.  Crews arrived, and reported 2 homes with heavy smoke and flames showing from each one. Residents had self evacuated before crews arrived.   A second alarm was called to bring in additional resources to assist, which resulted in approximately 25 fire fighters at the scene. 16 homes were briefly evacuated with the assistance of the Calgary Police Service. They have  been returned to their homes at this time.  The two homes involved will not be occupied at this time.  One other home sustained minor damage.  Investigators will be on scene with crews through out the day to monitor conditions.

There are no reports of any injuries to home owners or pets.
