Shortly before 11:00 this morning, fire crews were called to the intersection of Edmonton Trail and 41st Avenue N.E. for a motor vehicle collision. Upon arrival, firefighters observed a truck in the intersection and a sport utility vehicle which had gone down an embankment and landed in Nose Creek. The incident commander called for the Aquatics Rescue Team as well as a Hazardous Materials Crew. The driver of the SUV had climbed out of his sunroof prior to CFD arrival.  Firefighters set up a boom in the creek to prevent any possible fluids from leaking downstream. The Aquatics Team assisted and hooking the vehicle up to the tow cable for its removal from the creek. The drivers of both vehicles were assessed by EMS.
