Calgary Fire Department Respondes to North West House Fire

At approximately 4:00 this morning, the Calgary Fire Department responded to Panamount Court NW for reports of a house fire.

Upon arrival, fire crews found a single family, two story home with flames showing on the exterior of the residence.  A search of the home was completed and it was confirmed that all occupants were safely out of the house prior to CFD arrival.

The occupants of the home, two adults and four children, were alerted to the fire by a neighbour. Fire crews started with an interior fire attack but were forced out of the house by increasing fire conditions. A defensive exterior fire attack was then adopted.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this fire. The damage to the house is extensive with minor exterior heat damage to one of the neighbouring homes. Fire crews remain on scene dealing with hot spots. Calgary Fire Department fire investigators are on scene to determine the origin and cause of this fire.

Any information, pictures or video regarding this fire can be sent to the CFD Public Information Officer Carol Henke at piofire@calgary.ca
