Calgary Fire Department rescues civilian from icy Bow River

Early this afternoon the Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of a person in the Bow river near Point McKay. Reports from bystanders indicated a female was in the water and in distress. The Aquatics Rescue Team was dispatched, rescued the person and turned patient care over to a waiting AHS crew. Although conscious upon rescue, her condition at this time is unknown.
