Calgary Fire Department fights two alarm fire in Temple

 

 

 

At approximately 5:30 this morning, Calgary fire crews were called to a house on Templevale Road N.E. for a fully involved garage fire which was quickly spreading to the house. The family of five safely evacuated the home and called 911. Firefighters did an aggressive knock down on arrival to prevent further spread of the fire. After the fire was extinguished, fire crews searched for hotspots. Firefighters will remain on scene to conduct fire watch throughout the day.The garage and house of origin sustained significant damage and a neighbouring house sustained moderate damage. In total, nine adults and three children were evacuated for safety reasons. No injuries were reported as a result this fire. Calgary Fire Department Fire Investigators are on scene to determine the exact origin and cause. The fire appears to have started in the garage.
