Calgary Fire Department fights house fire in Rundle

Shortly after 9 this morning, Calgary fire crews were called to the 600 block of Rundleridge Drive N.E. for reports of a house fire. On arrival, flames and smoke were visible coming from the roof at the rear of the home. Five occupants home at the time of the fire, safely evacuated the residence. Firefighters used the Bronto elevated platform to fight the fire from above. The fire was quickly brought under control and fire crews used thermal imaging cameras to find hidden fire in the walls and attic. No injuries were reported as a result of this fire. The fire was discovered when one resident went outside briefly and saw smoke coming from the roof. A Calgary Fire Department fire investigator is on scene to determine the origin and cause.
