Calgary Fire Department fights house fire in NE

 

 

 

At approximately 4:20 this afternoon, Calgary fire crews were called to a building fire at the 6300 block of 24th Avenue N.E. Upon arrival, a second alarm was called. Firefighters entered the home and removed one male from the basement. His care was transferred to AHS for transport to hospital. The fire was extinguished and during a search of the entire residence, two dogs were also found and removed from the home. They are have been taken to an area vet hospital by Calgary Police Officers for treatment and care. A Calgary Fire Investigator has been called to the scene to determine the origin and cause.
