Calgary Fire Department Extricates one from NE Motor Vehicle Collision

This afternoon at approximately 2:30, the Calgary Fire Department was called to eastbound 16th Avenue on top of the Deerfoot overpass for reports of a Motor Vehicle Collision. Arriving crews were met with a 2 vehicle collision with three patients, one that was confirmed trapped. Using specialized rescue equipment the trapped patient was rapidly extricated and turned over to AHS. The cause of the collision as well as the condition of the patient is unknown at this time. Eastbound traffic is currently reduced to one lane.
