Calgary Fire Department extricates one patient from motor vehicle collision

This evening at approximately 8:30, the Calgary Fire Department responded to a single vehicle rollover at the intersection of McLeod Trail and Southland Drive. Upon arrival crews encountered a vehicle which had collided with a light standard causing the vehicle to come to rest on its roof trapping the lone passenger inside. Using extrication equipment, crews rapidly removed the driver’s side door freeing the patient. Patient care was transferred to a waiting Alberta Health Services unit for transport to an area hospital.
