Calgary Fire Department Extricate Patient from Motor Vehicle Collision

Shortly after 5:30pm this evening the Calgary Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Bow Trail and 37 street S.W.. First arriving crews reported a two vehicle collision in the intersection with one person requiring extrication from their vehicle.A male patient was subsequently removed from their vehicle using hydraulic extrication equipment and patient care was transferred to on scene Alberta Health Services personnel who have subsequently transported to an area hospital. Injuries were not considered life threatening.Traffic in this intersection is currently being impacted but remains open while Calgary Police Services conduct their investigation.
