Calgary Fire Department Evacuates Several Homes Due To Damaged Gas Line

At approximately 11:30 this morning, the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 200 block of Hendron Drive N.W for reports of a damaged natural gas line. Fire crews evacuated seven people from adjacent homes as a precautionary measure. Atco Gas was called to stop the flow of gas from the damaged line which occured due to construction work being done in the area. No injuries were reported. Atco Gas has since replaced the line and all residents have been allowed back into their homes.
