Calgary Fire Department Evacuates 180 From South East Restaurant

 

At 2:45 p.m., the Calgary Fire Department was called to the 5100 block of 130th Avenue in the S.E. for reports of the smell of natural gas. The caller, an employee of the restaurant at that location, became concerned and fire crews were quickly called. As a precaution, 180 people were evacuated from the restaurant and a safe perimeter was established by firefighters. Atco Gas and Enmax are on scene and are working with fire crews to find the source.
