Calgary Fire Department (CFD) responds to second house fire in one night

Much like the first house fire earlier this evening, crews arrived on scene to find smoke and flames coming from a single family dwelling. This second house fire was located on Penbrooke Dr SE. The four occupants of the house met the first arriving apparatus outside their house on the sidewalk. Two of the occupants were treated and transported by EMS for minor smoke inhalation. Again much like the first house fire, a strong aggressive interior attack led to the quick extinguishment of the fire. Although there is extensive damage to the living room area and attic space, the fire did not extend the adjacent home. There were no additional injuries, the investigation to find the cause of the fire, will commence once all the hot spots are located and extinguished.
