Calgary Fire Department Called for Garage Fire

Just before 10:00 P.M.. this evening the Calgary Fire Department responded to the 100 block of Taravista way N.E.. for reports of a building fire. First arriving crews found a well developed fire in the detached garage at the rear of the address, they quickly secured a water source and initially applied water from the exterior of the garage the transitioned their fire attack to the interior of the structure. A second fire attack line was put in place to protect the adjacent home. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control and extinguish the affected area. The fire was confined to the garage and there was no extension to the adjacent home. No injuries were reported and the Fire investigator has initiated the investigation into cause.
