Fire Calgary Department Aquatic Team pulls female from the Bow River

At approximately 5:00 this afternoon, the Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of an adult female in distress floating downstream on the Bow River. The Fire Department Aquatic Rescue team successfully located the female who was then pulled from the water near the 5th Avenue flyover. Once safely in the rescue boat, crews transported the female to the shoreline and patient care was transferred to Alberta Health Services. At this time is it not known what events led to the female being in need of rescue. She was not wearing a life jacket when fire crews found and rescued her.
