Calgary Fire Department and Calgary Police Services Team Up At Early Morning Crash

 

 

 

Shortly before 1 this morning The Calgary Fire Department and The Calgary Police Services were alerted to a Motor Vehicle Collision that had  occurred  at the intersection of McKnight Blvd. and Barlow Trail N.E. The first arriving Police unit found a single motor vehicle that had impacted a light standard, caught fire and trapped the lone occupant inside. The Officers quickly knocked down the fire using a dry chemical extinguisher just prior to the arrival of the Fire Department who then took over fire control and victim extrication. Calgary Police Services have now taken over the investigation of the scene. It is unknown at this time the extent of injuries and how long traffic in the area will be affected.
