Calgary Fire Department and Alberta Health Services supported by City Police Extricate Patient from underneath LRT Car

At approximately 08:26 pm Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of an individual trapped under an LRT car at the Station located on Westwinds Drive NE. Arriving fire crews found an individual trapped under the front end section of the C-Train. The scene was stabilized and the patient was extricated from underneath the car (no heavy equipment was required) Alberta Health Services assessed and transported one patient in critical condition. LRT service in the area was disrupted for a period of time. The details surrounding the incident are at present still under investigation.
