Calgary Fire Crews Respond to Two Alarm Fire In St Andrews Heights

At approximately 4:15 am, Calgary Fire Department (CFD) crews responded to the 2600 block of 12th Avenue NW for reports of a house on fire.

Upon arrival, CFD were met by large amounts of flame and smoke visible on the exterior rear side of the single family residence. The homeowner met CFD upon arrival and stated that there were no people or pets inside the home.

Shortly after arriving, a second alarm was struck to ensure adequate resources on scene.

Crews quickly extinguished flames on the exterior of the structure and then initiated an aggressive interior attack to control the spread of flames and limit damage. A thorough search of the interior confirmed that no people or pets were inside.

Fire is under control at this time and crews are checking for fire extension and hot spots throughout the residence.

No injuries were reported.

The fire investigator and CPS are on scene conducting an investigation. Cause of the fire is yet to be determined.
