Calgary Fire Crews Respond To Quonset Fire in SE
At approximately 5:00 pm Thursday afternoon October 24th, Calgary fire crews responded to a structure fire at the 6600 block of 90th Avenue SE. There were multiple calls to 911 regarding the incident and a large amount of smoke could be seen from a distance. The structure was confirmed to be a quonset with various commercial items and supplies inside.
Upon arrival, crews quickly set up defensive exterior attack lines to extinguish the flames. CPS assisted with scene safety and traffic control.
There were no injuries reported as a result of this incident and the fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished.
A fire investigator remains on scene, the cause remains undetermined at this time.
