Calgary Fire Crews Respond to Mutiple Fires in Whitehorn

Just after 2:00 A.M. this morning Calgary fire crews were called to the 100 block of Whitmire Road N.E. for reports of a building fire .First arriving crews found a fire at the rear of a house and quickly extinguished the flames and conducted a simultaneous search for occupants. The house was found to be vacant and no injuries were reported .While on scene a second fire was reported approximately one block away and  resources were redeployed to that address where crews found a disgarded matress on fire in the alleyway.This fire was quickly extinguished and damage was  kept to a minimum at both fires with no damage to adjacent structures. Fire investigators are currently on scene and will be conducting a detailed examination of the area.
