Shortly after 11:30 this morning, a fire crew from the Mount Pleasant Fire Station came upon a vehicle that had just rolled over at 4th Street and 16th Avenue N.W.  The fire crew arrived seconds after the motor vehicle collision involving a single car with one male occupant. The driver had struck a power pole causing his vehicle to flip onto it's roof, and causing the pole to lean dangerously. Firefighters immediately secured the scene, stabilized the vehicle and removed the patient from the car, assessing him for injuries. Patient care was transferred to EMS and CPS members, who were on scene immediately, redirected traffic from the area. Enmax was called to replace the power pole and is currently on scene. It is not known what caused the driver to lose control.
