Calgary fire crews fight second two alarm blaze of the day

The the second time in four hours, the Calgary Fire Department was called to a residential fire significant enough to call a second alarm. 911 received the call for a possible mobile home fire at approximately 4:40 pm this afternoon at the 9200 block of Blackfoot Trail South East. The large volume of smoke and fire caused the first arriving Fire Captain to call for a second alarm. A lone male occupant was awakened and helped out of the home by a neighbour who saw smoke coming from the windows. Both escaped without injury prior to CFD arrival. A pet dwarf rabbit is still unaccounted for. The fire is currently under investigation by Calgary Fire Department Fire Investigators.
