Calgary fire crews fight Bridlewood house fire

At approximately 2:15 this afternoon, 911 started receiving calls about a fire on Bridleglen Manor S.W.  On arrival, fire crews encountered a large amount of flames and smoke coming from the front porch and the main floor of the house. Firefighters entered the home and brought two occupants safely out of the basement. Fire crews quickly brought the fire under control and limited spread to other structures. One neighbouring home did sustain heat damage however damage was limited to the exterior of the house. Nine people live in the home but due to the extensive damage to the structure, reoccupation will not be possible for some time.

No injuries were reported as a result of this fire and two pet goldfish were rescued from the main floor by firefighters. Calgary fire investigators are on scene to determine the origin and cause of this fire.
