Calgary Fire Aquatic Team pulls male from the Bow River

At approximately 2:15 this afternoon, the Calgary Fire Department responded to reports of an unconscious adult male floating downstream on the Bow River. The Fire Department Surface Rescue team successfully located the male who was then pulled from the water near the Centre Street bridge. Crews quickly made their way to shore where they performed CPR and used their AED (Automated External Defibrillator) until patient care was transferred to Alberta Health Services. At this time is it not known what events led to the male being found unconscious in the river. He was not wearing a life jacket when fire crews found and rescued him.
