Calagry Fire Crews Respond To Fire In the North West

Shortly after 9:00pm this evening, fire crews were called to the 400 block of Northmount Drive N.W. for reports of a building fire. First arriving crews reported visible smoke coming from the structure and launched a interior fire attack and simultaneous search for occupants. One resident was rescued from the structure and patient care was transfered to on scene Alberta Health Services personnel. All residents were accounted for and no additional injuries were reported. Large volume fans were used to assist in smoke removal and the fire was confined to the room of origin . A total of three people were displaced by the fire and have had alternate accomadations arranged. Northmount Drive is currently closed to vehicle traffic and the Calgary Police Service is on scene redirecting traffic.The fire is currently under investigation.
