Building Evacutated due to Carbon Monixide Scare

Fire crews were called out this afternoon for a report of staff in an office building located on the 10200 block of South Port road feeling ill due to an odor. Firefighters found approximately 25 people out side the building when they arrived. Some of the individuals complained of a gas smell in the building and not feeling well. Staff from EMS assessed the people as Firefighters checked the building for gas. Four people had elevated levels of CO in their blood and were transported to Hospital as a precaution. The building was searched floor by floor and room by room with monitors trying to detect and type of gas that may have been present. All reading proved to be negative and occupants were allowed to return to the building. CO monitors have been left with the staff to insure no further concerns.
