Police locate family of child found in Dover

The Calgary Police Service has located the family of the child who was found on her own in the community of Dover on Saturday night. Both the child and her family are safe.

Police would like to thank the media and public for sharing the picture of the young girl, as well as for calling in with information. Public assistance is what eventually helped investigators locate the girl’s family to ensure the safety and welfare of everyone involved.

In order to protect the privacy of the family and child involved, no further details will be released.
