Whitehorn suspicious death investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious death after a shooting in the northeast community of Whitehorn.

At approximately 3 a.m., on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, police were called to the 100 block of Whiteview Rd N.E. for reports of a shooting. A male victim in his 20s was found deceased and the Homicide Unit is now investigating.

At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday, March 2, 2016. It is anticipated that no further information will be released until after the autopsy.
