We’re hiring! Calgary Transit is recruiting Transit Operators and Journeyperson 1 – Truck and Transport Technicians

Calgary – In an effort to return to pre-pandemic service hours on the public transit network, Calgary Transit is hiring for key roles that are vital to getting Calgarians where they need to go.

Calgary Transit is recruiting up to 400 Transit Operators over the next four weeks and later this year, will be recruiting around 400 additional Transit Operators. There is also a posting for eight Journeyperson 1 – Truck and Transport Technicians who will ensure vehicles are maintained and safe as they transport Calgarians throughout the city.

“As ridership and demand increase, Calgarians expect their transit service to keep up to meet their needs,” said Sharon Fleming, Director of Calgary Transit. “It’s important we have enough staff to make that happen.”

Additional staff will help Calgary Transit improve the service levels for customers throughout the city and reduce the strain on current employees by providing adequate coverage for retirements, career movement and development, vacation and sick time.
