Victim identified in weekend murder

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim of the murder that occurred on Sunday, March 25, 2018, has been identified as Nadia EL-DIB, 22, of Calgary.

This is the second homicide in Calgary in 2018.

Investigators believe the victim and the suspect were in a relationship for a short time prior to the murder. The exact motive for the murder is not yet known and no further details will be provided at this time.
