Update: Police look to identify suspects in southwest stabbing incident

We continue to ask for the public’s assistance to identify two suspects believed to have been involved in an early-morning stabbing in the Beltline over the weekend. We now have additional photos of the two suspects and a photo of another person of interest.

At approximately 2 a.m., on Saturday, March 15, 2025, we were called to the 1300 block of 17 Avenue S.W., for reports of a stabbing. Upon arrival, responding officers located two men suffering from what appeared to be stab wounds.

It is believed the two victims were walking in the area when they engaged in a verbal altercation with the occupants of a nearby car. The altercation eventually escalated to a physical assault that resulted in the stabbing of the two victims. The suspects fled the scene prior to police arrival.

We are now sharing additional photos of the two suspects, along with a photo of an additional person of interest we would like to speak with.

The first suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old, approximately 6’ tall, medium build, with long, dark hair in dreadlocks. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black, fur-lined jacket.

The second suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old, approximately 6’ tall, medium build and bald. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black jacket.

The person of interest is described as 25 to 35 years old, approximately 5’6” tall, medium build with shoulder-length brown hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black sweater, a grey shirt and white and black sneakers.

Photos of the three people can be found on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
