Police investigating early morning double homicide

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is investigating after two people were shot and killed earlier this morning.

At approximately 2:15 a.m., on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, police were called to the 2400 block of 37 Avenue N.E., for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, police found two men suffering from gunshot wounds inside a vehicle. One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was severely injured.

The second victim was taken to hospital where he later died.

Police believe this was a targeted attack.

Autopsies are scheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2019. No additional information is available at this time.
