Oakmoor Drive homicide victim identified

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim of a homicide that occurred earlier this week in the southwest community of Palliser has been identified.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017, police were called to a residence in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive S.W., after a man was found deceased inside the home by a family member.

The victim has been identified as Cyrus EBRAHIMI, 29, of Calgary.

The identity of the man located on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, by Revelstoke RCMP who later died cannot be confirmed until an autopsy by the Coroners Service of British Columbia has been completed. Calgary Police Service investigators have been sent to Revelstoke to assist with the investigation.
