Oakmoor Drive homicide investigation update - vehicle located

A vehicle sought by police in connection with a recent homicide has been located in Revelstoke, British Columbia.

On Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, Revelstoke RCMP members located a 2006 Toyota Corolla believed to be associated with a man wanted for questioning by Calgary police. A man was found inside the vehicle and was later declared deceased at the scene, prompting an investigation into the incident. Authorities are unable to confirm the identity the man at this time.

On Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, police requested public assistance to locate 32-year-old Mohammadali DARABI. DARABI was wanted for questioning after his roommate was found deceased in a residence, located in the 2300 block of Oakmoor Drive S.W., on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.

The Oakmoor Drive homicide investigation remains ongoing.

An autopsy was completed on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2017, and the victim will be identified pending next of kin notification. As part of the investigation, the Calgary Police Service will also send members to Revelstoke.
