Man charged for causing a disturbance at Transit station

Transit peace officers affected an arrest at Sunalta CTrain Station last night when a disturbance was noted during regular patrols.

At approximately 11:40 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2022, Transit peace officers were notified about a group of people loitering and causing a disturbance at the station. The officer spoke with the individuals to provide them with information about available resources and asked them to move along. During the interaction, one individual became argumentative with the officers and refused to leave. The man was determined to be wanted on outstanding warrants and was taken into custody by Transit officers. A small quantity of suspected heroin, methamphetamine and fentanyl were located and seized.

Calgary Police Service officers transported the man to the Arrest Processing Section where he was formally charged with breach of a probation order and two counts of possession of drugs.
