Woman charged following drug trafficking investigation
The Calgary Police Service has charged a woman and seized drugs and cash in connection with a drug trafficking investigation.
In August 2025, District 4 officers with the District Operations Team received information about a woman suspected of drug trafficking and began an investigation.
As the investigation progressed, officers executed a search warrant on Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, at a residence tied to the suspect in the 100 block of 23 Avenue S.W. During the search, officers seized:
- Approximately 465.4 grams of suspected fentanyl
- Approximately 83.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- Approximately 46.6 grams of suspected cocaine
- Approximately 42.1 grams of suspected heroine
- $4,600 in Canadian currency
The seized items have an estimated street value of approximately $74,000.
During the search warrant, officers arrested a man wanted on 14 warrants, including a Canada-wide immigration warrant.
As a result, Michelle Ellen BINNING, 34, is charged with:
- Four counts of possession of controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking
- One count of proceeds of crime under $5,000
Daniel Issaias SOLIS-POOT, 26, is charged with:
- One count of obstructing a peace officer
- One count of breach of a release order
BINNING will next appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2025.
SOLIS-POOT appeared in court today, Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025.
