Witnesses sought after early morning fatal altercation

We are continuing to investigate the death of a man that occurred earlier this morning and are now looking for the public’s help to locate a vehicle that was seen during the altercation. 

While investigators continue to review evidence in the case, we are looking to locate a vehicle that was seen outside of the Portico Lounge, located in the 1800 block of 35 Street S.E., around the time of the fatal altercation.

The vehicle is described as a black Dodge Caliber, with damage to the passenger side of the vehicle’s rear end. Anyone with information about the location of the vehicle or identity of its occupants is asked to contact police. A stock photo of the vehicle is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

We also are continuing to ask anyone who may have witnessed the altercation, or who had been at the Portico Lounge last night or early this morning to contact police.
