Victim identified in Penbrooke fatal shooting
Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim from last week’s fatal shooting in Penbrooke has been identified as Aram NADIRI, 19.
Just before 6:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Pensville Close S.E., for reports that a man within the home had been shot. Upon arrival by emergency personnel, the man was declared deceased.
It is believed that the victim and the suspect were known to one another, although the specific motive for this homicide has not yet been established.
This is the 14th homicide in Calgary in 2018.
Investigators are seeking information from anyone who may have interacted or seen NADIRI between 9 p.m., on Tuesday, Oct. 23, and 6:30 a.m., on Wednesday Oct. 24.
