Update: Identity of sexual assault suspect sought

We have now charged one man in relation to two sexual assaults that occurred in Central Memorial Park earlier this month.

Around 2:30 p.m., on Friday, March 7, 2025, a woman was walking her dog through Central Memorial Park, located at 12 Avenue and Fourth Street S.W., when a man approached her and asked to pet her dog. He then allegedly proceeded to aggressively touch her without consent. The victim was able to push the man away and leave the area. As she left, she reportedly saw him approach another woman walking a large, white dog in the park and proceed to touch her without consent. The second woman has yet to come forward, and investigators are still hoping to speak with her.  

Garrett Williams CHARD, 36, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of sexual assault in relation to the incident and has been remanded in custody.
