Update #1: Police investigate fatal altercation in Hounsfield Heights

An autopsy was completed by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, today, Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, for the man who died after an altercation in Hounsfield Heights on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.

As a result, the death is no longer being investigated as a homicide. As the death has been deemed non-criminal, the deceased's identity will not be made publicly available.

At this time, further investigative steps are required before additional information can be released. Investigators expect to provide another update tomorrow, Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022.
