The City of Calgary hosts cat licensing and microchipping events

Your pet’s license and permanent identification are their tickets home, should they get lost.

The City of Calgary Animal Services is hosting three cat licensing and microchipping events, between now and the end of the year. Starting this Sunday, cat owners will have the opportunity to get their cat microchipped for only $7 with the purchase of a pet license or renewal.

The events will run October 6, November 17 and December 15 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Animal Services Centre.

A microchip serves as your pet's permanent identification and substantially increases the likelihood that your pet will be returned to you if they get out and don't have their collar and license on.

License + microchip for spayed or neutered cats: $25 plus GST
License + microchip for unaltered cats: $45 plus GST

Location: Animal Services Centre – 2201 Portland Street S.E.
Time: 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Cats must be in a carrier in order to participate in this event.
