Teen charged in armed robbery of multiple convenience stores

Police have charged a 16-year-old male in relation to two incidents of armed robberies of convenience stores in Calgary’s northwest.

On Sunday, Aug. 14, 2022, between midnight and 1 a.m., police were called to two Circle K locations on Silver Springs Blvd N.W., for reports of robberies.

In each instance, multiple offenders entered the store, approached the register, produced handguns and stole an undetermined amount of money and cigarettes before fleeing on foot.

It is believed that four teens, ranging from 16 to 18 years old, were involved in both incidents. 

While attending the scenes, officers were able to locate evidence which led them to the execution of two search warrants at multiple residences on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, where they were able to find evidence consistent with the robberies.

The accused, was arrested without incident and has been charged with:

·         Two counts of robbery with a firearm
·         Two counts wearing a disguise to commit indictable offence
·         Two counts of breach of conditions

We are asking for the public’s support to provide any information and identify the remaining offenders. The suspects are approximately 16 to 18 years old. They were described as wearing black hoodies, black pants and white runners the night of the incident.
