Six charged in southwest drug-trafficking investigation

Six people are charged after a two-day operation in the southwest targeting street-level drug trafficking and the social disorder that is seen as a result of it.

This joint operation between District 2 patrol members and the Strategic Enforcement Unit took place on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 and Wednesday, March 7, 2018, resulting in 14 charges.

The investigation focused on the Westbrook Area due to an increase in social disorder activity including drug trafficking, assaults and trespassing. The Calgary Police Service is focusing on this issue with a number of local businesses, social agencies and city partners to help curb this activity.

Charges of possession of proceeds of crime, trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine were laid during this investigation:
