Seeking public assistance - northeast thefts

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in identifying a man involved in several gas drive-offs, vehicle thefts and shoplifting offences in the northeast.

The offender is believed to have committed at least six thefts.

Three vehicles are associated with the offender, including a brown 2002 Honda CRV with plate BYL6083, a Gold Kia with plate PLE709, and a grey 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix with plate BYN0671. All of the vehicles have been reported stolen.

The offender may be traveling with an accomplice, and may be carrying a knife.

The incidents began in late October, with the most recent on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, when the offender shoplifted from a store in the 900 block of 57 Avenue N.E. During the incident he threated a store worker with a knife.
